I love you Mama

I got a first out of Beth today. I said “I love you Baby Girl” like I often do. She looked back at me and said “I love you Mama”. 😀

We head home in a couple of hours. So far Leigh has not gotten sick and we’re really hoping it stays that way. Dad took Alex to a train show. They lasted about an hour before Dad got tuckered out from lifting Alex to see the layouts. Between the flu and his radiation treatments, that was more than Dad could handle right now. Beth stayed home with Mom and me. Leigh was trying to sleep, but didn’t have much luck because Beth was rather noisy for part of the day. Eric was at the bar watching the Packers game since it wasn’t being broadcast locally here. Sure miss the days when they played on Thanksgiving! That would have been much easier.

  1. That is always a special moment, when they tell you that the first time. Glad it was here so I could hear it.

  2. I really enjoyed taking Alex to the train show, and wish I could have lasted longer. It still thrills me that he shows an interest in trains. (And Beth, too, now).
I can’t wait till we can build a layout together, all three of us.

  3. This is a special tradition that Grandpa can do with his grandchildren. I’m happy for all of you.

  4. Make as many traditions as you can with the children. They will remember them even you think they won’t.
