I did it

Well, here it is the end of Dec already. I’m surprised at how quickly the month went by, and I only missed one day of posting. Since the true goal of Holidalies is to post 20 times in the month of Dec, I think I more than surpassed that goal. I know you’re all sad to see the month end, since it also means the end of daily posts. One of my New Year’s resolutions is to try and post a little more often than I have the past year. We’ll see how that goes. 🙂 Things have gotten less hectic now that Beth is a little more independent and both kids are usually in bed by 8:30. Very soon I won’t have to send food to daycare for Beth anymore, so that’s one less thing to do every night. About the same time she’ll stop having formula at bedtime, so no more bottles to wash either.

We’re having Bill & Olya and Paul & Susan over tonight for New Year’s Eve. And their respective children, which means we’re going to have 6 children under the age of 5 running around tonight:
Damien, 4; Alex, 3; Sergey, 3; Cindy, 2; Xavier, 16mo; Beth, 11mo.

Wish us luck! Most likely Paul and Susan will leave by 8:30 or 9 and Bill and Olya between 9 and 10, depending on when/if kids get cranky or not. Beth will be in bed by 8, since she get’s cranky if we keep her up. And Alex will go to bed either when the Finnegan’s leave or when he starts getting too cranky. Most likely Jenna will be the only child still awake at midnight to help ring in the New Year.

Happy New Year, everybody!

  1. You did very well for the year of posting Shannon. Happy New Year to all of you. I am sending lots of hugs and kisses your way that the new year will bring you much happiness and lots of love.

  2. Hoping you succeed on your New Year’s resolution. We enjoyed the daily updates on Beth and the Rascal. Can’t wait to see you at their Birthday party. I think We’ll tell Alex about the party ahead of time so he can wake you up everyday to see if his birthday presents are here.
