Beth has started pulling herself up onto everything and anything that will hold her (and some things that won’t!) So she’s spent a good part of the last 3 days on her feet. She first did it in the crib on Christmas Day, and she was so proud of herself. Then she started doing it everywhere.

It’s only a matter of time now (possibly counted in days) before the gate at the bottom of the steps will have to come out. She had a knee up on the step the other day, so it won’t be long before she figures out that she can get up the steps. She’s also walking more while holding onto people’s hands. She seems anxious to be up on her feet, so I expect she’ll be walking on her own soon.

  1. Her adventures are just about to begin. Enjoy every one of them with her. They grow too fast.

    Love, Aunt Lynn

  2. What an adorable little girl. We’re not n the least prejudiced, either. She sounds like she is determined to be upright now. Nice change from wanting to be held all the time. If Alex was a “good” big brother, he would have already taught her to how to climb the stairs. It’s a family tradition that the older sibling teaches the younger child the things Mom and Dad don’t want them to know.
