Alex had a small breakthrough with regards to potty training yesterday. He started to pee in his pants, but stopped and called out “I need to go potty”. So I whisked him off his chair and onto the potty as fast as I could. I told him that I was very proud of him for stopping and not making a big mess on the chair. I said “You can have a sucker if you want.” He said, “I can’t have a sucker, that’s for pooping on the potty-chair. I have other candy.”

They may be baby-steps, but they are steps in the right direction and I’m very proud of him.

  1. You may think that’s a baby step, but it is really a big step forward in His understanding of the use of a potty. Way to go Alex!
