Child vs Child Statistics (Updated)

Child vs Child page is linked above.

03/15/15: Updated with Beth’s 6 year info and Alex’s 9 year info.

02/09/14: Updated with Beth’s 5 year info and Alex’s 8 year info.

01/15/13: Updated with Beth’s 4 year info and Alex’s 7 year info.
–They have gone to a computerized system this year, so the info I got was a little different than in the past. I didn’t get percentile info. But Beth is now only 2.6 pounds lighter and 3 inches shorter. They both wear size 6 shirts!

02/10/12: Updated with Beth’s 3 year info and Alex’s 6 year info.
–Alex is now in the 25th percentile for weight and under the 5th percentile for height. Fortunately for me, I found the swim classes a the Y since he’s still too short for the no-parent classes through the rec department. Of course, he did turn 6 so that doesn’t apply anymore, but I’m still much happier with the Y.
–Beth is now in the 95th percentile for weight and the 65th percentile for height. She’s now only 3.6 pounds less than Alex and 3.5 inches shorter. She currently weighs more than Alex did last year! They can wear the same size clothes. Although Alex’s couple of inches does help with the size XS boys Angry Birds shirts we’ve bought for both of them. Alex’s is a bit big, hanging to about mid-thigh, but Beth’s hangs to her knees! She likes it anyway. 🙂

01/28/11: Updated with Beth’s 2 year info and Alex’s 5 year info.
–Alex is in the 50th percentile for weight and the 25th percentile for height. My hopes of getting him into the no-parent swim class for which he has to be 42 inches if he’s under age 6 have been crushed. 🙂 But on the plus side, he gained 2 1/2 inches this year, a better increase than last years 1 inch.
–Beth has come down in percentiles again, to the 75th percentile for both weight and height. And if you notice, she’s somehow managed to lose a half-pound in the last 6 months. 🙁 But they didn’t say anything about that, so I’m not going to worry about it. Maybe it was a good thing given the percentiles she was/is in. And she’s currently only 7 pounds less than Alex.

08/06/10: Updated with Beth’s 18 month info.
–Beth is “greater than the 95th” percentile for weight and the 80th percentile for height.

04/30/10: Updated with Beth’s 15 month info.
–Beth is in the 90th percentile for weight and the 75th percentile for height. So she shot up and slowed down on the weight gain which means she’s slimmed down just a bit.

01/27/10: Updated with Beth’s 12 month info and Alex’s 4 year info.
–Alex is in the 50th percentile for weight and the 10th percentile for height.
–Beth is in the 95th percentile for weight and the 50th percentile for height.

10/23/09: Updated with Beth’s 9 month info.
–Beth is above the 95th percentile for weight and the 75th percentile for height.

07/29/09: Updated with Beth’s 6 month info.
–Beth is still in the 90th percentile for both height and weight.

05/30/09: Updated with Beth’s 4 month info.
–Beth is in the 90th percentile for both height and weight.

I’ve create a new page, which is different than a blog entry, to keep a handy comparison of the two children and how they compare weight-wise and height-wise. The link to the page is here: Child vs Child. Whenever I update this page, I will update this blog entry. I removed access to pages on my main site, so currently this is the only way you can get to the page. Once I remember how to put it back, you’ll be able to access the page using a link on the right-hand side of the blog.

OK, I’ve figured out how to add the “Pages” category back into the sidebar, so if you take a look to the right, you’ll now see it.
