Day 4 was our busiest day. Mainly because we figured out there were things we wanted to do that we hadn’t gotten to yet and it was our last day there!
First up was the Hornblower Cruises. Which used to be run by the Maid of the Mist, but a few years back Canada asked for bids and Hornblower won. Everyone loved the cruise. You get so close to the falls that anything not covered by your free poncho gets soaked. And part of what was covered by poncho gets soaked because it just blows around. 🙂
From there we headed back to the room to dry off, then took a drive to the north, along the river, to find Lake Ontario. The kids all waded in, just so they could say they’d been in Lake Ontario. What astonished Eric and I was the number of winerys along the drive. Apparently, the land up there is perfect for growing grapes.
At some point during the day (or maybe the day before), we went back to the Arcade for an hour or so.
After dinner that night, we finally walked down to the Falls to see them lit up at night. So pretty!
Tomorrow I’ll post more pictures. 🙂
