Niagara Falls, Day 3, Part 2

As I was writing up Day 4, I realized that I skipped something about Day 3. We had spent many, many hours at the waterpark that day. It was kinda rainy out, so we weren’t really keen on wandering about in the rain. So we headed back to the waterpark.

We were about an hour and a half from closing (on our final planned trip to the waterpark) when I finally coaxed Alex into trying one of the bigger slides. Until then, both kids would only go down the much-smaller kiddie slides. So off Alex and I went, while Beth stayed with Daddy in the wave pool. After a few go-rounds, I passed Alex off to Eric and stayed with Beth. Who then decided she wanted to try a big slide. Oh boy, were we in trouble after that! Both kids rode slide after slide after slide. For at least an hour! Until Daddy and I finally plead exhaustion (those things are up the equivalent of 3 flights of stairs). We went back to the kiddie slides where we stayed until closing. The kids were not ready to leave, but Mommy and Daddy certainly were. We had been there at least 3, maybe 4 hours!

I am ecstatic that Beth has gotten over her fear of slides and getting water in her face. In fact, she asked me yesterday if we can go to a waterpark again!

  1. It wasn’t just walking up 3 flights of stairs. It was walking up 3 flights of stairs while carrying a heavy two-person inner tube. Piece of cake for Alex.
